There will be a service of remembrance at the memorial at the graveyard in Whitsome on Saturday 11th November at 11 o’clock to remember those who gave their lives in the defence of our country.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Please gather at 10:45.
At the same time there will also be a service at Edrom War Memorial.
Getting together for a cuppa and slice of toast is a bit of a tradition in the Armed Forces, dating back to the First World War when it was seen as essential to morale. Following on from the Remembrance Services on the 11th drop into Whitsome Ark for Tea and Toast between 11 and 12 and help to raise more funds for Poppy Scotland.
