*** STOP PRESS – ALL PLACES NOW TAKEN AS AT 29/06/2022 – PLEASE CONTACT JANE OR LYNDA (DETAILS BELOW) IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PLACED ON THE RESERVE LIST. ***
Do you have a digital device, such as a tablet, smartphone or computer but are a bit nervous about using it? Would you like to be more confident with email and the Internet? Or would you just like to be able to order a supermarket delivery online without pulling your hair out? Then you might benefit from a free workshop being held at the Whitsome Ark at 3pm on Monday 25th July.
The “Using Digital Devices” workshop is two hours long and aimed at people who need a bit of support using their smartphones, tablets or laptops. The session will be run by an experienced facilitator provided by the Berwickshire Association for Voluntary Service (BAVS) and participants will be able to ask for help with any particular issues or tasks they want assistance with. There will be a maximum of eight people taking part and BAVS tell us that the session is particularly aimed at older people and those new to using modern devices.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in taking part in the workshop (or if you would like to know more about it) please contact either Jane or Lynda – contact details are below. The eight places available will be allocated on a “first come first served” basis, so please move quickly if you would like to be included.
It goes without saying that tea, coffee and maybe even cake will be provided!
