WEG@30 Anniversary Celebration 2023
2023 was an important year for Whitsome Enhancement Group as we celebrated our 30th Anniversary. A number of events took place with friends and members, past and present .
Coffee Morning
The first event was a coffee morning held on Saturday 18 February 2023.

Afternoon Tea Celebration!
Our main celebration on 22 April was to invite WEG members past and present and friends of WEG to an afternoon tea party. This was a great opportunity for people to meet up and share memories over a buffet and a glass of bubbly. There was a display board in the Hall showing how WEG had progressed over the past 30 years.

The cake itself
The cake was made specially for the occasion. The wild flowers, butterflies, ladybirds and bees represent the Loaning and the lights and festoons around the cake reflect the work of the Group when we put up the Christmas Lights display in the Village.
Former WEG Members Ian Jarvie and Rickie Walthew cut the cake, that was enjoyed by all!

Visit to Anton’s Hill – 14 July, 2023
The group were invited to Anton’s Hill Gardens in Leitholm. Set in 1.5 acres there is a beautiful walled garden, pond, an orchard with 205 varieties of apple, pear and plum, a vegetable area and a railway track.
